Looking Ahead in 2010

The Spring Concert promises a varietal garden of "season appropriate" musical selections, from Irish medleys, to Bach and Brahms, and even "A Salute to Ol' Blue Eyes (Sinatra)." Mark your calendars now: March 14 and 16.

Musician Spotlight: Bud Turner

WARREN “BUD” TURNER engages in a long-time passion – making music, and plays regularly as a percussionist with the West Sacramento Community Orchestra. In addition, Bud has been a part of the Folsom Lake Symphony and the American Legion Concert Band. He is also a member of RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), which is sponsored by Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance. The MEALS ON WHEELS program has also been a part of Bud’s life for the last 15 years. In fact, he and his wife Jeannie make it a “couples act.” As she drives, he delivers meals to shut-in seniors every Wednesday morning. Bud points out that an additional and valuable function of Meals On Wheels drivers is to provide a check on frail clients – sometimes the only contact they might have that day.
